Cuzco is an excellent town. The once Incan capital has become the administrative centre for the Cuzco Region in south central Peru. Its main draw is really as a starting point when it comes to treks to Machu Picchu, but amount of time in the region should not be squandered or overlooked.

People are with a random 24 to 48 hours there before they embark on your way. Don’t meander aimlessly all over streets all-day (but do meander); there clearly was a lot to see and do.
