The ruins can be found within Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary and underneath the defense of this National System of Protected Natural Places because of the State (SERNAP). The Sanctuary spreads over an area of 32, 592 hectares when you look at the basin for the river Vilcanota-Urubamba.

Weather
Usually cozy and humid throughout the day and cool off at night time. Temperatures vary between 11 and 27 degrees Celsius (52 and 81 degrees Fahrenheit). This zone is usually rainy (1955 mm), especially between November and March.

There's two methods for getting to Machu Picchu:
